  18. First  of  all  I wish to say thanks to
  19. you  guys  who had used so much time in
  20. putting  this  great mag together.  The
  21. article  about  the  Motorola  chip was
  22. very  exiting  and  all the jokes about
  23. blonds  - what a laugh.  I can see know
  24. why  Kurt  (RVC  Norway) asked me if my
  25. wife was a blond.....

  27.    The   SHI-organization   is  basicly
  28. build   on   friendship.    We   are  a
  29. usergroup  with  more than 600 members,
  30. who  have  a "shared" perception of the
  31. posibilities  to  "explore" the ways of
  32. our  beloved Amiga.  Our aims should be
  33. known by every one, but if otherwise:

  37.                SPREADING
  38.                OF VIRUS.

  41. @1For  about  three weeks ago Erik - yes,
  42. SHI's  grand ol' man and founder of the
  43. organization  - and I was informed that
  44. the  previous members of the Danish RVC
  45. wishes  to  quit.   Therefore we had to
  46. seek  new  members  to  keep the center
  47. running.
  48.  
  49.    Erik  knew a guy - @2Jan Andersen@1, who
  50. lives  quite  near my own place.  I had
  51. have  a  wish  to join the center for a
  52. long time, but didn't felt that I could
  53. be  useful  if we couldn't meet once or
  54. twice in a week.

  68. as  mentioned  in  the  2nd  release of
  69. RESIDENT MAGAZINE.

  71. @1So..   After  we  had  "set  up" Jan, I
  72. contacted   him   and   get  a  meeting
  73. arranged  and  suddenly things begun to
  74. move  fast.   A lot of textfiles had to
  75. be rewritten and updated, we spend lots
  76. of  hours  in  "designing"  the disks -
  77. infact  there  are quite a few disks to
  78. keep updated.
  79.  
  80. But, newer the less, in a few weeks the
  81. disks  were  completely redesigned - NO
  82. MORE  CHEESE  EATING  MICES  !!!  (just
  83. kidding!).

  85.    However,   our   friendship  startet
  86. "around"  the Amiga and grew rapidly in
  87. to  a  strong  teamwork, where we could
  88. combine our experiences in almost every
  89. task  we  had to fulfill.  If one of us
  90. couldn't figure out a way to accomplish
  91. a  task,  then  the  other could etc...
  92. infact we learn from one another.
  93.    Teamwork    also    means   -   like
  94. friendship   -   that  one  has  to  be
  95. responsible  for  one another and there
  96. is  no  such thing as feeling motivated
  97. from  teamwork  to  do a job.  As Sales
  98. Manager  I  have  a  lot  of letters to
  99. write  and  boy,  its great to get news
  100. from  people  I can - maybe - meet once
  101. during a lifetime.
  102.  
  103.    I  recieve  news  from  almost every
  104. part  of  the world, like news from our
  105. Croatian  RVC  and how Tomislav and his
  106. family   must  seek  cover  from  being
  107. bombed  or  shot at all the time.  From
  108. USA,  where Jim and Michael resides and
  109. "scares  off" the entire continent with
  110. great articles - by the way Jim, thanks
  111. for  mentioning  my name in Amiga World
  112. and - of cause - from Norway where Kurt
  113. and  Helge  are  doing  a  great job in
  114. keeping  the  users  "to  the fire" and
  115. from Ireland where Anthony is getting a
  116. god  "grab" on the market - he actually
  117. visit  me  in early April - boy, we had
  118. some fun and....  the list is ENDLESS.
  119.  
  120. Specific  for  the  RVC's:   I can also
  121. feel that the members of the RVC's is a
  122. "bunch"  of users that came to an equal
  123. decision  that the Amiga can be used to
  124. other  things  than  game  playing  and
  125. programming.   They all wish to TEAM UP
  126. and FIGHT the virals.  Its not a matter
  127. of  being  an  "Amiga  genius"  to be a
  128. member of a RVC or SHI, but if you can:
  129.  
  130.         Code in C or Assembler
  131.             Write articles
  132.                Translate
  133.           Do the "DTP-magic"
  134.  
  135. -   then   call   us   and  offer  your
  136. assistance.

  138. @2NOTE:@1   If  YOU  find a new virus, then
  139. send  it to the nearest RVC or directly
  140. to  Erik  -  DON'T  delete it - you can
  141. help  other  users !!  The organization
  142. isn't  farther  away  than  the nearest
  143. mailbox.  In return you will get a copy
  144. of   the  latest  update  of  "THE  NEW
  145. SUPERKILLER" for @2FREE@1.

  147. One  thing  about mailing virus to SHI:
  148. We  DON'T care WHAT program or disk the
  149. virus is on - just remember to mark the
  150. disk  as  VIRUS  -  take  care  of  our
  151. computers.   The important thing is the
  152. virus.   If  you  want  to be anonymous
  153. then   state  it,  all  names  will  be
  154. "forgotten"  unless you want otherwise,
  155. you  can  always  rely  on us - no more
  156. questions.   But  if you want an update
  157. in return, we need an adress to mail it
  158. to
  159.  
  160. This  update always contains the latest
  161. and  very  best  PD anti virus programs
  162. and  I  can  just  say  this  about the
  163. programmers:

  172. @1My    best   wishes   goes   to   those
  173. programmers  and  if  you  use the anti
  174. virus programs on a regular basis, then
  175. please  pay  6-8 US$ to the programmers
  176. from time to time.  I'm quite sure that
  177. they  will  be  happy  to  see a little
  178. money   for   their   -  very  often  -
  179. thousands of hours of work.

  188. SHI are @ANOT@A distributing ANY commercial
  189. software   -  ONLY  PD,  shareware  and
  190. freeware.
  191.  
  192.    Commercial  software  is  INDEED too
  193. expensive  and  I'm sure that the sales
  194. would  increase  a  lot,  if the prizes
  195. were lowered.  Most developing of a new
  196. program   is   concerned  to  the  copy
  197. protection and not the program itself.

  199. If people could buy software to - say -
  200. half  of  todays  prizes  it might very
  201. well multiply the sales four times.  On
  202. the  other  hand, if software wasn't so
  203. easy  to  get,  the  computers wouldn't
  204. have  spread  in  the  numbers they are
  205. today.   Confused - oh no - just common
  206. marked situation....
